Devin Desktop adds shareable local conversations, composable permission rules, MCP per-server log channels, and queued-message editing.
• Adds `"workbench.editor.useModal": "all"` config key to restore Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts as modal overlays; they now open as regular editor tabs by default.
• Separates each MCP server's logs into its own `MCP: <server>` output channel for isolated debugging.
• New `Share Conversation` action uploads a sanitized Devin Local transcript — system prompts, tool definitions, and secrets stripped, paths normalized — and copies a team-visible link from the actions menu below a completed turn.
• Permission rules from enterprise, mode, user, project, and subagent levels now compose predictably: an explicit `deny:` always wins, 'always allow' options only appear when the grant would actually take effect, and denials name the layer that denied them.
• Queued messages can be edited: click the edit button or press ⬆ in an empty input to pull the last queued message back before it runs.
• Plugins installed from Customizations are added to personal plugins by default (available in Devin Cloud and other devices); an `Install locally` option limits the install to the current device.
• Adds a `Subagents` section and cross-section search (skills, subagents, rules, hooks, plugins, MCP servers) to the Customizations panel, plus a refresh action for plugins.
• Large-file reads through ACP are now bounded and paginated instead of repeatedly rereading overflow files.
• Codemaps and MCP configuration files now open from the remote machine when connected over WSL, SSH, or a dev container.
• `+X −Y` diff summary on a collapsed agent group is now clickable, opening a multi-diff editor scoped to that group's files.
• 'Duplicate session' and 'send as fork' open the fork in a new tab, keeping the original conversation intact.
• Revert buttons appear as soon as a prompt is sent; reverting while an agent is working cancels the turn first.
• `Terminal: Create New Terminal in Editor Area` now works inside worktrees.
• Starting an agent in a new worktree that fails now surfaces the underlying git error instead of silently falling back to the workspace.
• Session size chips use the same enterprise ACU thresholds as the web app, with auto-continuation billing notices shown inline in the transcript.
• Cascade-specific configuration and customization options are hidden when Cascade is disabled for the team.
Breaking changes:
• Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts now open as regular editor tabs instead of modal overlays by default; set `"workbench.editor.useModal": "all"` to restore the previous modal behavior.
• The 'Plugins' section for IDE extension marketplaces has been renamed to 'Extensions'.

Devin Desktop v3.7.16

Devin Desktop v3.7.16 adds shareable local conversations, mid-turn reverts, composable permission rules, and per-MCP-server log channels.
• Adds `"workbench.editor.useModal": "all"` config key to restore the modal overlay for Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts, which now open as regular editor tabs by default.
• Separates each MCP server's logs into its own `MCP: <server>` output channel for isolated debugging.
• New 'Share Conversation' action uploads a sanitized Devin Local transcript (system prompts and tool definitions dropped, secrets redacted, paths normalized) and copies a team-visible link; accessible from the actions menu below a completed turn.
• Adds a new Subagents section and cross-section search (skills, subagents, rules, hooks, plugins, MCP servers) to the Customizations panel, plus a refresh action for plugins.
• Permission rules from enterprise, mode, user, project, and subagent levels now compose predictably: an explicit `deny: always` wins at any layer, and denials report which layer denied them.
• Plugins installed from Customizations are added to personal plugins by default (available in Devin Cloud and across devices); `Install locally` option restricts to the current device only.
• Revert buttons appear as soon as a prompt is sent; reverting while an agent is working now cancels the turn first, making mid-turn reverts reliable.
• Queued messages can be edited via the edit button or by pressing ⬆ in an empty input to pull the last queued message back.
• The `+X −Y` diff summary on a collapsed agent group is now clickable and opens a multi-diff editor scoped to that group's files.
• 'Duplicate session' and 'send as fork' now open the fork in a new tab, keeping the original conversation open.
• Large-file reads through ACP are bounded and paginated instead of repeatedly re-reading overflow files.
• Codemaps and MCP configuration files now open from the remote machine when connected over WSL, SSH, or a dev container.
• Session size chips use the same enterprise ACU thresholds as the web app, with auto-continuation billing notices appearing inline in the transcript.
• Starting an agent in a new worktree that fails now surfaces the git error instead of silently falling back to the workspace.
• Hides Cascade-specific configuration and customization options when Cascade is disabled for a team.
